Stigmatic fevers ignite the bodies of pretense, moving across the shadows of discontent. I pause to dip my face in the chill… committed to recovering alongside you. We are, after all, common strangers, unable to speak the language of the night. Our fractured vision of identity is rooted in a null reality… but our spirits do not unravel. We are never far from the sounds of laughter that unite us.

Another night begins suddenly, intent on moving ahead without us. Many of us still wait for the old tide to pull us in. Dapples of light and dark migrate through subdued planes, harvesting the hidden sense of reality we seek. Our breath lies muffled under our cold masks as we wander the streets, searching for a more harmonious connection. The seams of solitude loosen, as another chapter of lost momentum challenges our sense of expectation.

Another pause returns, and we stand still, anticipating the greater pull of the night. I still sense something brewing outside our new illusions of time…
